Things are changing at Shallow Creek Nurseries (known also as the hardy fruit tree growers.)

 

So what's new for 2009...

 

- we've built a brand new government inspected kitchen which has been very busy especially now that the corporate gift boxes have been so popular. We are thrilled by the number of purchasers who want home grown and hand made preserves and will continue to satisfy their tastebuds.

 

- we will be specializing in fruit tree sales that meet customer interests and are proven to be hardy as well as quality fruit producers. For those of you who have supported our nursery and new growers as well, we will still be supplying a good selection of the honeyberry (haskap), all varieties of the sour cherry family including the new cultivars from the University of Saskatchewan, and a wide selection of hardy grapes. New for this year is a limited supply of the highly nutricious Goji berry.

- last years' harvest from our young fruit orchard was incredible! We have tested the Goji berry for hardiness and growth habits and happy to introduce them in our orchard.
